Creative daily lesson plans focus on the development of your child’s necessary prekindergarten skills such as letter and name recognition, printing, cooperative play, socialization skills, listening, and more. Structured and unstructured activities provide stimulating hands-on learning opportunities to promote your child’s physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
The Carol Stream Park District Preschool program has been a community tradition for over 40 years. Our preschool at Simkus Recreation Center provides a safe and welcoming learning environment with access to amenities such as the gym and gymnastics room. When school’s out, summer preschool is in. 3-4 year olds learn and play with new games, crafts, and stories each week. STEAM activities are incorporated. Children develop independence while learning the importance of sharing, listening, and cooperation. Weekly sessions are offered June – August. Children must be potty trained. The program is held both indoors and outdoors.

We are excited to offer this new introductory camp for Kids 3-5 years old. In this week-long camp, campers will explore all that McCaslin Park has to offer. Campers play mini golf, cool off in the splash pad, dig in the sand area, make crafts, and enjoy some playground time. Swim suit, towel lunch and gym shoes are required. Camp will start and end at the Coyote Crossing Mini Golf. Participants must be able to handle their own bathroom needs.

Program fees can be paid in full at registration or via a monthly payment plan. A $70 non-refundable enrollment fee and payment for the first month are due at registration. All subsequent payments are automatically withdrawn on the 1st of each month, from October-May. Scheduled payment amounts and dates are listed on your receipt. Completion of an Automatic Payment Request Form is required with registration.
We are expanding our 3-4 year old preschool program to accommodate busy parents. Now offering morning, mid-day and afternoon extended care, your preschooler receives additional interaction with teachers and peers through games and playtime.

Bring your lunch and stay for enrichment! Ignite your weekend with exciting and educational STEAM activities! Bring active playtime indoors while your kids burn off energy! We supply the toys, you come for fun and socialization. You and your child enjoy free time use of a variety of toys including balls, tricycles, hula hoops, ride-on cars and sports equipment. Play time will take place in the gym and will be in the gymnastics room every second week of the month! Parent must remain with child(ren) and supervise their play. No more than two children per adult.
