Feb 2025 –
The District has been awarded a $600,000 OSLAD grant to support the $1.2 million renovation of Pleasant Hill Park! This project is a collaborative effort with Community School District 200, as Pleasant Hill Elementary School, which borders the park, is contributing $250,000 to the improvements. Since students use the park regularly, this partnership is a great example of governmental cooperation in service to our shared community.
The soon-to-be new and improved Pleasant Hill Park will feature:
6 pickleball courts with divider fencing and a spectator area
2 basketball half courts
Upgraded playground with play structures for ages 2-5 and 5-12, swings, and challenge course equipment
Bag toss courts and a multi-sport game table seating area
Repaved parking lot with 29 spaces (including 2 ADA spots)
New concrete and asphalt paths for improved accessibility
Rain garden with native plantings and enhanced landscaping
Portable restroom with enclosure
Stay tuned for updates as we bring these exciting improvements to life!

The parking lot is located on the east side of Harriet Street with additional parking at Pleasant Hill Elementary School during nonschool hours. The park is behind Pleasant Hill Elementary School and is occasionally shared by School District 200.
Note: There are two playgrounds behind Pleasant Hill Elementary School. The playground closest to the school belongs to the School District.
